Grinding into gear

So just replaced starter and put new belt on. Now it is grinding when trying to put into F or R it wants to grind. Any thoughts on this? I feel the idle is fine but maybe not. The old clutch not liking the new belt? Seems like it is spinning a lot with it just in neutral or at least spinning the same as primary.

The spinning clutch is what is causing it to grind. Once the belt breaks in, it may not be as bad. It does not really happen on a machine with an aftermarket clutch and higher engagement RPM. It is fairly normal otherwise.
