Title: *** 1989 Honda FL400 Pilot jetting question ***
Post by: bkvette3 on November 23, 2019, 06:45:41 PM
Hello all.

Fairly new to the Honda Pilot game.  What is the easiest way to change out the jets.  Do you have to remove the carb entirely to get to the bottom of the carb or can you get to the jet with the carb still in place??   Thanks in advance.

You can get to it. The carb bowl drain is 17mm. It may help to loosen the clamps on carb to tilt it.

Thank-you.  LiveWire.

Do I have to remove anything like the airbox, gas tank, etc to gain access to the carb???  My '85 atc250r is way easier.

I was able to do it without removing anything other than loosening the carb to allow tilting it a bit.

Thank - you, sir.  Much appreciated.  Your technique made it simple - jet changed.

Best regards.   BK3
