Hi Guys,
I am new to the forum and really did not see anyone have this problem.
I have a 1989 Pilot and it is hard to get into gear from a stop. You have to rev it up and then kind of jam it into forward or reverse or else it will die.
If I try to put it into gear slowly you can hear gears grinding. I have seen on youtube where people are able to put theirs into gear from a stop with no problems. What the heck is going on???
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tim

Update...
When idling both of the drive pulley and driven pulley and are turning. I am assuming that the one in back (driven pulley) is not suppose to be turning while not in gear?? Also the drive pulley has a quick shift clutch on it. Is there an adjustment for that?? And can that be causing the hard shift problem.
Thanks Tim
