Title: ALT test clutch arrived today!
Post by: ludedude on February 02, 2004, 07:01:25 PM
Got it today, I'm on nights so I didn't have much time to inspect or play with it. Snapped a few shots, they're in the photo gallery.

No spring! Called, had to leave a message  Will see Wed when I get off.

Looks good otherwise. Weight/puck set-up looks a little different than my HRD setup.....see pictures and comments.

ALT 6513-P is stamped on the clutch, and it fits the crank, so it looks good :D :D :D :D

Any questions? Want specific pictures? Tests? Comments?

That is the old style with the D dring on the end of the shaft, if you dont get the D ring to
line up 100% correctly when you install and tighten the cover it will chew up the end of
the cap and shaft, I thought they did away with this design, I ground the heads off the
rivets and removed the D washer inside the cap then used the wear washer between
the cap and end of the shaft.

Weight blocks look different wonder what is up with that?

Just take the time to line it up! I had no problem with mine when I had one on my old FL250...There's a little < pointing to it on the cap......guess it's easier without the spring itn there :)

I had no problem with mine either I just removed it to speed up assembly time, the removing
the D washer idea came FROM moskito or ATVR racing?
