Stock Compression??
« on: November 20, 2013, 06:43:04 PM »
What is the stock compression supposed to be? I had it serviced today and they said it was 129 psi at full throttle. Am I do for a new top end? If so what else should I be looking at replacing while getting the work done? Thanks in advance.

I usually try for 140ish... I would replace the clutch side seal at a minimum...

So is 129 still acceptable? Would I notice a big difference with a top end rebuild?

Manual says 150 I watch mine close and when it drops to close to 135 I inspect the topend and either rering it or new piston kit or bore up and new topend. 129 is low to me. Its gonna start to get harder to start not idle as easy or smooth and lose power once up to temp
