Protecting the rear of the Pilot
« on: April 13, 2011, 05:54:25 PM »
I had this idea to protect the pilot when I stand it up on end to store it or to clean the underside. I used a bump stop from energy suspention that I ordered from Summit Racing. The part number for the black pair is ENS-9-9121G or it comes in red which is ENS-9-9121R. I used a 5/16 drill after drilling a smaller pilot hole. Then I taped it with a 3/8 X 16T tap. The bump stop just screws inplace. Add a little threebond or locktight to keep it in place. I located it where the bars cross on the back of the frame for strength and drilled the holes 1/4 in above the weld.
